Dineease is a user-centric mobile application designed to transform the way people discover and reserve dining experiences. The app offers an intuitive platform for searching local restaurants, exploring menus, checking availability, and reserving tables online at preferred times. By seamlessly integrating restaurant discovery and reservation, Dineease simplifies the dining process, ensuring a hassle-free experience for users while helping restaurants optimize table management.


My Role: UI/UX Designer

Responsibilities: Role involves conducting user research, developing user personas, designing information architecture, wire framing, and prototyping the app's layout, creating a seamless user flow, designing interactions, and conducting usability testing to gather and incorporate user feedback. By focusing on the end-users needs and preferences

Problem Statement

Title: Enhancing Dining Experiences with an Online Table Reservation and Ordering App

Many food enthusiasts face challenges when trying to enjoy their favorite restaurant dining experiences. Traditional methods of making reservations and difficulties in accessing menus online, placing orders efficiently, managing payments securely, and keeping track of order history.

The Goal

Design an intuitive and user-friendly online app that allows customers to reserve tables, access menus, place orders efficiently, manage payments securely, and keep track of their order history.


Enhance customer satisfaction by providing easy access to menus, efficient ordering processes, secure payment options, and clear communication.


Reduce wait times and improve the overall dining experience by streamlining the reservation and ordering process.

Summary

I conducted interviews and created empathy maps to understand the users I'm designing for their needs, This diverse group of users values in-restaurant dining experiences.


This user groups is tech-savvy, and seeks efficient and convenient features like quick menu access, secure payment methods, order tracking, These findings serve as a foundation for developing an app that caters to their unique needs, improving their overall dining experience at their favorite restaurants.

Pain points

Reservation Challenges: Customers experience difficulties in reserving tables online, including long wait times, unavailability of preferred seating, and lack of real-time updates.

Time: Waiters can be quite busy and overworked at times, which causes them to take a long time to take order.

Order History Tracking: Unable to recall & reorder his favorite dishes.

Accessibility: A lengthy or complicated ordering process might user get frustrated , as values efficiency and needs to place orders swiftly.

Payment: It’s difficult to complete payment quickly, as restaurant doesn’t have online payment option.

Taking the time to draft iterations of each screen of

the app on paper ensured that the elements that made it to digital wireframes would be well-suited to address user pain points. For the home screen, I prioritized a quick selection of restaurant to dine-in and search option.
